How does the ranking work in Blogdimension.com
Wednesday, August 1st, 2007As you are becoming more numerous every day to submit your blogs to the “Submit a blog” link, you might ask yourself :”How am I going to be listed in Blogdimension.com?”
Unlike other search systems Blogdimension has no “authority” or “popularity” ranking. Our model is based on the “freshness” of a source. By “freshness” we mean “recency”. The more a blog post or any other source (vidéo, audio…) is up to date the higher it is positioned in the results page.
Recency is our sorting criteria by default. So, in Blogdimension everybody, a famous blogger or a pure incognito, has the chance to be top-ranked! If you published a post and our spider catched it in its net right at that moment then you have great chances to be top-ranked, no matter whether you are a star of the blogosphere or not. So that’s why results in Blogdimension are always mixed and never the same! To avoid a system of “castes” among bloggers!
We do not exclude to introduce a ranking by “authority” (”popularity”) in the future. But our philosophy is that this criteria should be a mere option allowing just to sort a results page.
So one tip for you all! If you wish to stay always on top in Blogdimension.com, you have to publish a new post on a regularly basis. The more you are prolific, the more you are visible. So nobody can be #1 for eternity in Blogdimension’s charts. Everybody is at the same level here.
By the way, a results page can be sorted by the users by “date”, “relevance” or a combination of “relevance+date”.
Try it!
